Barbarie's Grill

Had dinner on Friday March 5 and it was awesome. Cassandra was our waitress and her attention to details and concern for our experience made our dinner that much better. Food was delicious. My son had shrimp and I had steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. I definitely appreciated though it was busy in no way we were rush to finish our meal. We will definitely be back!

After having a not so great meal here a couple of weeks ago, I decided to give this restaurant another chance tonight and I'm glad I did. What made the experience amazing was the customer service I received from our server Bill - from the moment we arrived he was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure that we were well taken care of. When our food arrived (kudos for the suggestions Bill!) it was as delicious as promised. Great customer service is what makes this a restaurant that I will keep coming back to!

The food was fine. That’s was decent. However, the customer service was TERRIBLE. If you set up specific hours and ask your table “to hurry up” with their orders, there is something wrong with the way you treat your customers. Not to mention, literally no refills on the drinks (which was WATER), silverware just pushed on the table, and no check ins. No need to be rude, just simply state the kitchen is closing soon, and that you’re more than happy to assist or make suggestions to speed up the process for your staff. If not...don’t post those times up. Another thing...tell your workers to wear their masks properly. They are still carriers even if they may be vaccinated. Require guests to wear their masks when roaming the bar and going into the dining area. 2/10 for me, only because the chicken parm was actually good.

The food was amazing, and the portion sizes were excellent. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was amazing, and the fresh pasta made the meal. The wait staff went above and beyond (Cassandra in particular was phenomenal) to make our experience wonderful. Could not recommend this restaurant more, if only for the wonderful staff there that treat you like family!

Man first time me visiting Connecticut and I had a great experiences this restaurant. The food was good and it wasn’t a long wait. Make sure u get the waiter MATTHEW he was great at his job
