They were out of stock on several items because Texans seriously enjoy Spring Break. But I got lucky as the items I needed (an air pump and a couple of drink tumblers) we're still on sale and reasonably priced!nnI've always liked Academy, it's tons better than the chain whose name is slang for a guy's genitals.nnI just wish all stores would STOP pushing credit cards, as store credit cards are evil.

Always great selection of products and specially now, they're having a huge clearance sale with unbeatable prices. For sure you'll buy them you went looking for, but this is a chance to don't lose. Great customer service and fast checkout. Friendly associates all through the store, always willing to help you.

This review is being written specifically for the shoe department. Academy used to be my “go to” store for workout shoes. Needing a new pair, it was the first place I went today. I was dismayed, first of all, at the lack of stock on the shelves. So I can give them a break for that - I know that many stores have had difficulty receiving merchandise and keeping shelves stocked. However, the shelves here weren’t just lacking product. What shoes they do have aren’t organized well and things are very difficult to find. The department was messy, boxes of shoes on the floor, along with bits of paper - does anyone around there ever pick stuff up? I was in the area for at least 30 minutes and these two employees stood and talked sports the entire time I was there...I never saw them ask anyone if they needed anything. The only time they interacted with customers was when someone came to them - and even then, the just pointed the customer in the general direction - never moving to actually assist.

Great place to find shorts and comfy clothes for those of us that are a bit bigger. There 3x size basketball shorts for under ten dollars are wonderful.
