Thank you to Doctor Brian Smith and his nurse for taking such good care of me this evening. The hospital is not very well organized and extremely hectic but my Doctor was great and very attentive. I appreciate your kindness. The Hospital staff needs to work on wait times, as I was almost there for 3 hours, but other than that I was pleased with my visit.

This place is way understaffed. Your not waiting for beds here, they just say that, they really don’t have enough nurses. The quality of care is below minimum and patient satisfaction is the lowest on their priority list. My advise would be to NOT go to this hospital. There’s a reason their ratings are low.

Positives: nice nursing staff.nNegatives:nThis hospital does not have enough cleaning staff. We have been waiting several hours for a room to be cleaned so we can leave the ICU after heart valve this morning at 10. We were told there are only a few cleaning people here.nDirty restrooms.nFurniture in waiting rooms- side tables- old and very worn.nWindows in waiting area downstairs filthy.

It has taken me a couple of weeks to be able to leave this review, but I want to say that Holston Valley Hospital/Ballad Health was truly a Godsend during my sisters last weeks specifically her last week, I have never seen such compassion and high level of care when taking care of her AND of her family, I never questioned for one second the care that my sister was receiving because I experienced that same level of care as her visiting family member. I will be forever grateful for my family being able to spend the time with her that we were able to spend with so many patients sadly dying alone across the country due to the pandemic I was scared that it would be the same for us, and it would have been if not for the care and compassion of this hospital and the staff. Thank you Holston Valley and thank YOU to the nurses on Wilcox Hall you’re angels on earth. If I could rate you 10 stars I would

This use to be the best hospital but things changed and now it's the worst.nThis place can go straight to hell.nHealthy people go there to die.
