Hooters of Memphis Southeast

Don't let the gimmicky 'Hooters' name and hype fool you, the fare is actually pretty good. Yesterday, for lunch, I had the shrimp tacos. Tender shrimp in three fresh taco shells laced with a tasty cream sauce. After tip, the meal was $15. A moderately priced lunch, but a good, occasional indulgence. On previous occasions, I've had various chicken dishes (hot wings, chicken strips, etc) and it's consistently tender and tasty.

Destiny was amazing, she was very patient with us and she answered all of our questions very thoroughly. My daughter is Autistic and Destiny did everything she could to make her feel comfortable. We will definitely be coming back to eat here again.

My husband and I went in last night for dinner. The place was nearly empty. We stood at the hostess stand for 5 minutes I acknowledged while the 2 visible servers we scrolling their phones in a back table.nnOnce seated, our server Destiny, took the drink order and half turned her back on me to only speak to my husband.nnThis is my fault but I asked for a drink from the bar without my ID. She asked to see it and refused to serve me. Fair enough I guess but no one on the planet would think that I’m not at least 40. I’m 55 by the way. Again fair enough but she sure didn’t ask for anyone else’s ID after that without serving them first and they clearly were about 2 DECADES younger than me. The difference was I WAS THE ONLY FEMALE IN THE PLACE.nnDestiny came back for the food order. My husband had a burger and Mac and cheese. My order was simple chips and cheese. Nothing can go wrong with that right? Wrong!nnFirst of all we waited almost 25 minutes for it to be brought out on a night when there were no food orders placed as everyone had their food already.nnMy husbands order was brought out. Mine was not. When it showed up 5 minutes later the cheese had sat for so long it was cold. We asked that it be warmed up. 15 minutes later there’s still no cheese and we are still waiting on silverware so the Mac and cheese could be eaten. It’s cold now too.nnDestiny wouldn’t even attempt to come to the table. The other girl had to serve the food. When the cheese finally came it was dropped off with a casual sorry and before we could say a word she was off again.nnMy husband asked for the manager. He came over and when we explained the process from walking in to now his response wasnYeah. I saw all that happen. So that’s like on her ya know? So like the next time y’all come like don’t sit in her section.nnI’m sorry what?!!nnWe walked out and it won’t be a problem again as we will never be back.

Wings were great, crunchy. Tots were a tiny bit greasy but it didn't stop me from enjoying. Thumbs up!!

Food was absolutely amazing! Service was very good. Would definitely visit again!
