The nurses are very rude for no reason what so ever, even when children are respectful. Tells us that everything is our fault and that we have a choice to be the way we are. Just over all so bad.

I was there on and off for a while. Staff was questionable at times. But overall, I'm thankful for the experience. I'm not saying it was awesome, but it taught me some skills, not from DBT. but from my peers. you'll learn more from the people you spend time with in there than your therapist will teach you. the rooms are depressing, and old. but you will learn at least one thing coming out of there. it can be a good experience, or a horrible experience. staff didn't pay as much attention as they should've. but some staff where amazing, more than not. you build relationships with staff. and i miss them to this day. but if you want to send your kid here, i wouldn't. you never know what kids are gonna share a room with you, or if they are safe to even go around. it can be dangerous at times. i've seen some bad things there. and i've done some bad things there. from my experience it made me more angry and unsafe at first. and then i got used to the hospital so it became harder for me to function outside of the hospital.

Went there for 6 months at first I hated it but over time you get used to it and make really good connections with certain staff and peers it really boosted my confidence and helped me with my anger problems and now I think a lot more before I do something but overall i say you should risk sending someone there and they are probably gonna hate it at first but it should help them and they will appreciate it when they leave
