I can’t say enough nice things about the staff here and Frederick Surgical center. From the moment I arrived they were very attentive and kind. Being that it is Corona times, My husband wasn’t able to come in with me for my procedure so as you can imagine I was a nervous wreck. I let them know and each nurse/ Doctor/anesthesiologist who interacted with me was kind professional and caring. They all had amazing sense of humor and bed side manor. When it came time for my procedure the real party began.nI will be returning here for any future medical procedure for sure. Thank you ten fold for making a hard day better!

Optimal Digestive Care uses this facility. You will be billed from both places. It is very difficult to get costs for a screening and or procedure from either place.nnBe careful. I went in to set up a covered screening visit for a future date. I was given many instructions. They told me someone would call with all the specifics of charges and how much is covered by insurance. They said a screening will be one set of charges and if something is discovered then in changes from a screen to a biopsy and diagnosis( more expensive) No one ever called. I called back and they said that they don’t tell people the costs and to call my insurance company. How am I supposed to know what procedure codes will be submitted. I have a high deductible and want to know how much it is going to cost. I am not scheduling the screening until they tell me the costs.nnThis is why Health Insurance is so expensive, the providers are scamming the insurance company and the patient has no way to find out what things cost in advance. My costs could be nothing or thousands of dollars. I need this information prior to the procedure.nnBe smart everyone. Demand fees quote in advance in writing and then call insurance carrier. Get your costs in advance. The providers try to act stupid and blame the insurance company instead of providing clear information. If the patient could get total fees based on a cash payment in advance then they could go and see what insurance covers.nnHealthcare providers are bankrupting Americans everyday.

Prior to my procedure, the billing department called and told me the cost of my procedure. I received a bill a few weeks after my procedure and the invoice came in 2.5 times higher than the original cost I was provided. I complained to the billing department and was told that the original cost of the procedure is just an estimate and they would not make any adjustments nor would they provide a breakdown of the costs. It’s ridiculous that a company can be that far off of an estimate and there’s no repercussions and nothing I can do.
