They were very busy, but the food was excellent and the staff was extremely kind! Would recommend, just on a less busy night, lol. :)

Food tasted good. Waitress was okay just a little to busy to be able to devote the time she needed to her tables. Maybe they need more staff on a Friday night

Portico has always been one of my very favorite ruston places to eat. Definitely start out with the pimento pups, the fried green tomatoes with crab meat are absolutely to die for they are not appetizing to look at but they're one of the best I've ever had as far as taste! Portico pasta is the way to go!

First I must say, we have had good (not great) experiences here before. Tonight was the last time my son and I will visit portico.nFirst off it was just me and my son, and yes I know how it looks to a waiter for a woman and child to be sat in their section. Trust me I worked in F&B in Nola for 18 years!!!! Please guys DO NOT judge a book by its cover.nWe were sat without any silverware, had to ask for it after our apps were delivered. Our drinks were served in styrofoam cups, and everyone around us had true glasses. The waiter seemed rushed and took my menu before I could order my entree, granted I had them set to the side of the table, patiently waiting for him to return to order, besides the point. Everyone knows that when you have a 4yr old you order their food first! If not, take this as a lesson please!nWhen I did order my entree, the pork chops, I asked if they could be cooked a med rare to medium. He said yes. And I waited. And waited. And waited. I was just about to get up and leave when another person brought my entree. And I had to ask for a knife to cut the pork. Which was well done and chewy, not chewy hard. At this point, I hadn’t seen my server in over 15 minutes. Had to ask and wave him down to get a check. When he asked me how things were. I said well the pork chops are well done and I need a box. Because at this point my son was finished eating and ready to go.nSorry portico. You just lost a customer.nDear manager. When you walk thru the restaurant to talk to tables. Don’t skip customers for your favorites!
