Great service and food. Freshly prepared and nice atmosphere. Love love love the Owner. She always come and greet every table and make sure you are good and satisfied.

I was staying in a hotel in Vadalia LA a few weeks ago and I went here because of all of the good reviews to get some breakfast. The young lady at the front desk who didn't seem to know what she was doing. My order was simple. It was their breakfast that came with eggs, hashbrowns, waffle and choice of sausage or bacon. I ordered two of theses with an extra order of bacon. The first thing I want to say is it was too expensive for what you get. The breakfast was 10 dollars a piece and after tax I ended up paying around $16. Usually, when you go to a Southern style restaurant you expect to good homemade cooking. When I got back to the hotel and unboxed our food we had some greasy microwavable sausage patties. The kind of sausage that you get from the store that is precooked and flat processed sausage. Even Waffle House has real sausage and it's a chain. I expect more from a Home style family owned restaurant. Then they forgot my order of bacon. When I called the young lady answered and then put the phone down to talk to the cook in the back. I had already explained to her that I had driven 14 minutes away to the hotel. She stated that the cook said I could come back another time to get the bacon. Really? So, I was expected to come at a later date to get just bacon? The least that could have been done was to redo my whole breakfast. There was no way I was going to make a special drive over there the next day on my way out for some bacon. I expect a family owned restaurant to be better than Waffle house especially when you more than they do. Even the scrambled eggs looked rushed. They were scrambled very good nor cooked well. when you see the whiteness of the egg...that's wrong. part of the egg was cooked hard. It was as though it was rushed out of the kitchen. Even the waffle was a little flat. You have one time to make a first impression and that was just plain awful on too many levels. I am sad to say this but I won't be going back nor will I refer this place to anyone else.

In from out of town and so happy to find this gem. Food was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Highly recommend!!!
