Been banking with First Citizens since 2014. Their Free Checking is a great deal. Great customer service and friendly staff. The new location is super convenient.
if you like zero customer service, open account with First Citizens bank.
First Citizens purchased Gwinnett Community Bank and the transition has been AWFUL! First, they sent my new debit card to the wrong address. Then after going in person to remedy the problem, they forgot to enter it into the system, so another card was never sent. Finally after calling AGAIN, I had a debit card overnighted but no PIN number followed it, so it’s essentially useless. Almost 3 weeks without a debit card. I’ve had accounts get cancelled because I can’t make my payments and definitely can’t do any Christmas shopping or prepare for the arrival of my baby in a few weeks. I would not recommend First Citizens to ANYONE!
