By far the best overall inpatient hospital experience I've ever had. Staff, facility, timeliness, cleanliness, quiet, accommodations, privacy, all rated A+. Could not ask for better care. Thank you.

Came here with a very sensitive issue, asked to keep it on the DL, they absolutely did not do that, and in fact treated it with no caution or care whatsoever. It was very urgent (to the point my doctor said they should have got me straight into the operating room), but I was made to wait over an hour in my car (I opted to stay in the car rather than go inside because the waiting room was packed, with no or inadequate social distancing). In the end, my symptoms subsided, which meant the issue had became irreparable or had gone away. In either case, there was no use waiting at the ER anymore, so I left. Terrible, please don't come here. Try UVA instead.

Tried everything we knew to work with Pat (someone)to have a patient sign some papers. She was not will to help, period. We even said we would email or fax papers. No! This person was only on a power trip period and shame on her. Hope karma finds her very soon

Had a terrible experience in the ER with a family member who was left in the hallway for 4 hours waiting. They ended up getting put into a room and getting an IV started but no beds were available so he was not able to get anything through the IV. They ended up making him sit in the hallway until labs came back. Once finally discharged we were given this discharge paperwork with a number to call for a follow up. If you call the number it is actually the number for Enterprise Van Rentals.nnToday, we received a bill that was not covered by insurance because the labs were sent to a company that was not in-network. After calling the insurance company, lab, and doctor’s office - we were told that Sentara should have notified us that labs were being sent to an out of network provider.nnThe nursing staff have always been very kind, but I’m afraid there are too many ways they’ve failed us for us to ever want to go back or recommend it to others.
