I cant say enough about the cheerful kindness and thorough professional care offered by Sarah Bragdon at Purcellville Inova Urgent Care. I was afraid I would have to miss my vacation due to a knee injury and she examined and treated me. She then provided me with complete instructions and diagnosis explanation and the prescription that a vacation was exactly what i needed! What peace of mind that gave me as I boarded my flight the next day. Thank you!

I took my daughter there with severe fatigue, fever, abdominal, and back pain. The receptionist, Debbie, was fantastic. She immediately had my daughter leave a urine specimen to test for the obvious based on symptoms. We waited for 2 hours before being taken back. The only one there was a nurse practitioner, Sarah, no doctors. The nurses were friendly and tested my daughter for the flu and strep right away. Sarah had them test her for Mono. We were told that all tests were negative, there was blood and protein in her urine but “that’s normal in kids,” and Sarah prescribes 3 weeks worth of Amoxicillin just in case her symptoms were due to a tick bite she had a few days prior. My daughter didn’t have a rash, the proper treatment for tick born illnesses is 6 weeks of antibiotics which I learned after leaving urgent care, and Sarah told me there isn’t a way to test her for tick born illnesses. All her specimens were sent to Lansdowne. A few hours after leaving, Sarah called me stating that I should head to the ER with my daughter to have imaging of her ovaries and appendix done. I was so confused. I picked up the prescription but did not give it to me daughter until today when I received a call from urgent care confirming that she does in fact have a UTI! My family will never return to that place again.nnFurthermore, The facility is dirty! the person in the room next to us was diagnosed with Type A Influenza, all that was done when she left by staff is a change of paper on the bed! Then a family of 5 was put in the room to get flu shots.

This place has good office staff and hours but this is not the place to go when you have an actual medical problem. Go see a real doctor.
