Delicious comfort styled restaurant, with a truly friendly staff. This place was an absolute pleasure. Prices were quite reasonable with very ample portions. Where this establishment really shines is 'ambiance'. Between its rich history as a saw mill, and spectacular location ON the river that serviced the mill, it's a place you'll remember.

We drive all the way from Boston and it worth for every single minute. The atmosphere was totally different what we usually see in regular restaurant. İt is extremely cozy and warm.nThere are such a lovely and kind people working here. They are not leaving the table without making everything so perfect for you.nCome here to make your stomach and spirit full.

Fun place for lunch in a bucolic setting. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious! The corn fritters are fantastic, and the price is very reasonable.

Visited back in November and have been meaning to write a review and never get it done. When we first arrived we were sat in a front room where one guy was burping loudly and a lady at another table sitting alone was talking on her phone. We were not greeted before the woman either and she sat after us. Upon requesting to be moved our experience improved 100%. We had a fabulous table overlooking the water in one of the back rooms. The food was wonderful as well as the Bloody Mary. Our server, Danielle, was fantastic! She was friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent service!! She is definitely an asset to The 1761 Old Mill Restaurant. On our next visit we will be sure to request her.

The food is always good, not the greatest but always decent and in generous portions. The service is really good, and the best part is the atmosphere. Very beautiful building, lovely ducks and geese on the water as you walk in, and they used to give out stale bread to feed the them but I didn't see it last time, (probably because of the pandemic?) There is a warm fireplace as you walk in. I really like the room in the back with the rumford fire place and stone raised bed garden.
