I have been a patient at Las Cruces Sleep Center for about 8 years. They were bought out by a sleep center in El Paso. The quality of service is horrible. This new company gouges it's customers. I am very unhappy with this company and do not recommend them to anyone.

The amount of time you spend waiting, is crazy. They over book people for appointments. I had an appointment at 9:15. An was seen until almost 11.

My PCP sent a referral to Las Cruces Sleep Center and advised me that they would contact me to make an appointment. After waiting for over 3 weeks with no call, I called them. I was routed to the main call center in Rio Rancho. I gave the lady my information and asked why nobody had contacted me. She said that they are under new management because "most of the old staff just quit." Needless to say, this didn't inspire a ton of confidence but I ignored my inner voice and made an appointment for my consultation. The consultation went fairly well. I was seen quickly, and they made an appointment for my in-clinic sleep study. On the day of my sleep study (exactly 45 minutes before by check-in time) they called me and cancelled because they hadn't yet received authorization from my insurance. The next day, I called my insurance. They told me that they had not received a request for authorization from the Sleep Center. I called the Sleep Center and asked them for the date they had submitted the request to my insurance. Suspiciously, they could not find it in the system. Finally, two weeks after my original appointment, they called to tell me that my insurance had approve the sleep study and we scheduled a new appointment. I asked again about when they had submitted the request to my insurance. This time they told me it was submitted on the date of my original sleep study, confirming that they had failed to do so and then lied to me about why my original appt. was cancelled. Finally had the sleep study last night. The technician was extremely thorough and professional. Unfortunately, I won't get my results for about 1 month. Bottom line- I think the administrative staff employed by Sleep Centers of New Mexico are inept and give the other employees here a bad reputation. I recommend you go somewhere else if you can.
