Old School Family Run Hobby Shop with supplies for builders. Sadly, no one builds things anymore and on-line purchasing has driven many retail stores out of business. Hanson Hobby has sold off most of their inventory and will officially close their doors at the end of October 2019. I'm sad to see this long time local institution disappear.
I stopped in today because I recently got into building models so I wanted to see what kind of models and tools were available. The store had a nice atmosphere and a fair selection of model kits, paints, and tools. I was surprised to see a shelf with the Gundam model kits I like to build. Slightly more expensive than some places online--but not by much. Besides, finding a local place that has hobby tools right when you need them is great. I didn't stay too long but I was very happy with my visit.
Great, has everything including the small items you can't find online
Spent $129 on an airbrush compressor, don't mind the $$, helping out small businesses. Once home and opened up, the regulator just fell to the ground. On closer inspection you can see someone tried to glue the piece together using something like JB weld. I will try and disassemble and see if I can get a new attachment at home depot but I am seriously not dealing with this place again. The broken metal part is even almost rusted.nSad, very sad if this is how they conduct business, Amazon will continue to get my $$.
SUPPORT your local dealers. I could and do go online from time to time but I love going into this store and looking at what they have the owner is very helpful and this store has been around for years.
