We purchased our boat through Sunset Yachts and they were Great. They were very helpful even and especially after the sale. We are not local and needed a lot of help and time finding everything we needed for upgrades to our boat. They were always very helpful during this time and this was after they had their commission. We highly recommend Sunset Yacht Sales in Gig Harbor. We were in the market for our first boat in 20 years and talked with three different yacht brokers in Gig Harbor. It was immediately clear that the people at Sunset Yachts were the best fit for us. The experience and knowledge of Kathy, Dub, Jim and Brandy was invaluable. And we appreciated their low-key, no pressure approach. Dub, Jim and Brandy gladly spent time (a lot of time) educating us on Puget Sound boating and the pros and cons of the boats for sale in the Pacific Northwest that were of interest to us. Once we chose our boat, Brandy, Jim and Dub guided us through the entire purchase process, from negotiating a fair price, to inspections (including haul-out, survey and mechanical inspection - they know all of the best mechanics and surveyors), to handling all of the paperwork, title and closing details. On top of that, Dub, Jim and Brandy have spent a lot time teaching us about the boat and helping us learn to operate it (at no cost to us!). We are so grateful that we not only found knowledgeable and ethical brokers, but we found new friends! It is too bad this rating is limited to 5 stars, because we would give them more!

Sunset's Jim Porter helped my wife and I find our new boat and we love it! Two things made the experience with Jim a great one: 1) Jim was a good listener. Specifically, Jim was very keen to understand the features that we needed for our intended use of the boat, and 2) Jim was very knowledgeable. He helped us steer clear of boats that looked OK, but really weren't OK. In summary, Jim was very patient in helping us find just the right boat for us and as a result, we highly recommend him and Sunset Yachts.
