Columbia Memorial Hospital

My wife unfortunately had to make an ER visit while we were on vacation. I cannot express enough my appreciation for the fine care we received the two days of our stay. The staff was very professional and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this hospital.

Always get treated with respect and they make sure I am 100% understanding what's happening before and after they have seen me.

I was extremely impressed with how clean and neat everything was. The bed linens are changed each day, even if you don't request it. I don't know if they do that with all their patients, or just me a self-proclaimed germophobe, lol!!

4 hours in the ER. 3 nurses stuck me 2 times each & couldn't draw blood or get IV in. Dr finally came in & used a sonogram to find a vein. This has never been a problem before! Arms are bruised everywhere (this all took an hour+). I came in with lower abdominal pain. They did an ekg (why?)sent home, told to use heat & take tylenol. No return call after I left a message. Still in pain!nThe response from the hospital below with a phone number to call...never got a return call either. The lack of patient care and follow up are non existent. Drive to Providence in Seaside, it has to be better than this.

I have the good fortune of living near a quality medical center. I developed a sudden life threatening condition and without the rapid response and expert care of Columbia Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, I probably would not be alive today. From the emergency room to the intensive care unit to the med-surge unit, my care could not have been better. They have a great team. Residents of Clatsop County should indeed feel fortunate to have such a facility.
