Good young lady, tried on a few shoes. She was able to direct me towards good walking shoes, sneakers. Tried on a few sizes and found a stable shoe for what I need.
Very disappointed in my interactions with this company. I bought D.O.N. Issue #1's through Footaction (my first interaction ever with the company...) and when the shoes came, I was very disappointed with the quality of shoe. I posted the following 1-star review about the shoes on Footaction's website:
"Worst Basketball Shoes or Fake Ball Shoes.
I was excited to get these shoes because I am a huge Donovan Mitchell fan and they look pretty dope. A lot of my friends bought these shoes and I figured since they had them, the shoes must be legit... WRONG. I play a lot of pickup ball (usually 2-3 times a week) and even for someone who doesn't play at a high level, these shoes are TERRIBLE.
Facts.
1) I have never worn a shoe with worse traction. I actually feel like I am trying to play basketball on an ice rink. It is easier for me to play basketball in my workout trainers. The grip ridges on the underside of the shoe seem very shallow and poorly designed. I play guard and rely a lot on quickness when playing. When I try to cut to the basket, my feet slide out from under me so my game is slowed down significantly. I have looked stupid on multiple occasions while wearing these shoes when I try to cross someone over, lose my footing, and fall flat. The shoes take away all competitive advantage I have over other players and leave me feeling very frustrated. THE TRACTION IS HORRIBLE.
2) I previously read this issue in other reviews but I should have believed it more... when playing in these shoes, you will experience A LOT of heel slip. If you stop and go a lot, expect blisters and insecurity from these shoes. Not a great experience for those of us that love playing basketball.
3) These shoes are extremely tight near the toes. Although your heel won't typically touch the back of the shoe (hence, the heel slip) your toes will start to lose feeling after playing for a while because the laces are so tight. Even loosening the laces doesn't seem to help the problem very much. It's not easy to ball when your feet are asleep.
CONCLUSION: If you want to play basketball in shoes that make you feel like you're ice-skating while breaking your ankles and getting blisters with numb feet from lack of blood flow, the D.O.N. Issue #1 are the shoes for you! Save yourself the money and pain these shoes will cost you and go buy a pair of more reliable kicks.
My thoughts: Either these are the most poorly manufactured basketball shoes ever or Footaction sold me fake D.O.N.'s. Either way, I will not be buying another pair of Adidas basketball shoes anytime soon. Very disappointed"
A few days after posting this review, I was notified that it was "moderated" (censored) because it didn't meet "company guidelines"... I figured I was adding value to the website because I was helping the next consumer make an informed decision but I guess Footaction values making money over customer satisfaction.
Very happy they are around. Footlocker didn't have the Air Force Ones that i wanted in size 6 men's but Footaction did, now i have the work shoes i want and need.
Came to location after online reservations crashed. Only to be told that shoes were sold out as I watched the opening shift manager hold 4 pairs for 2 individuals and the limit is one pair per person. This behavior is unacceptable and unethical. Only after inquiring this specific incident to this manager, I was told he holding 2 pairs of shoes for other employees that he could not sell to me as a paying customer. Talk about an unethical practice, shame on the Valley Fair Foot Action for "back-dooring" these sneakers rather than distributing to first come first serve customers. As a long time loyal customer who has a passion for purchasing and collecting shoes, this truly made an awful impact to my buying experience.
They have a lot of cool clothes and shoes! However they don't always have your size
