Mercy General Hospital

Worst hospital experience in history! I went to the emergency because I passed out and fell. I had a busted, swollen, bruised forehead, scrapped swollen left wrist and headache. I checked in with triage which was pretty quick. She was really nice and helpful. Once called to the back I was introduced to Dr asked what happened left with another nice RN who sent me to Labs, MRI and XRay all within the first hour and that where the good ended. After all that I was sent back to the lobby with the 15 other people and did not hear from anyone for another 7 hours. No lie 7 whole hours in the lobby waiting to see why I passed out. I was out there so long they started sending the MA to take my vitals because I was complaining about pain. Mind you I I passed out and fell on cement hitting my head several times. 7 hours later a RN comes out with discharge papers saying follow up with your primary. I asked if he could tell me what was wrong he says Oh you didn't see the doctor? I said no I'm waiting to see the doctor. He then said you didn't get your splint? I was like splint for what?. He then went and got the doctor who came to the lobby to tell me you have a fractured wrist and concussion just like that. Did not address the big huge lump on my head how to care for myself while I wait. Is the tech came out and put the splint on my arm in the lobby at the triage desk. was extremely upset confused and disappointed. I will risk my life going to another hospital before I go back there.

The nurse Mrs. Rose is the strongest mom ever and so is the dad and the sister! I tried to show her you can get back up and keep going! She was so nice! I told her anything was possible! Not many parents do what her parents did! I miss her so much! She was a true friend don’t worry the person who did it will pay for it!

Mercy General Hospital is the best! I live very close to the hospital but I will only go to Mercy because of the excellent care I receive from EVERY ONE, from triage nurses, labs, X-ray technicians, Doctors and registration personnel.nThey are always kind, polite and helpful. I know I will be okay when I am under the care of the staff, they make sure that they find what’s going on with you, no matter what the problem is. That’s why I call them MY HOSPITAL!

I was quite nervous about my procedure. The reception desk was very pleasant. The nurse(Natalie) was WONDERFUL. Everyone I interacted with was happy and friendly, which helps keep patients calm. Very professional. Always verifying what procedure we were doingnso there was no mistake. Nurse after recovery also super friendly. I now know not to be nervous at all the next time.

I came in as a stand by for the COVID vaccine. What an amazing system!!! It was run so efficiently and every person I had contact with was warm, friendly and kind. Every one of them greeted me with a smile and then congratulated me for getting the vaccine. A+ in system efficiency and A+ for the kindness of your employees!
