Sonoma Bistro and WineBar

We both had the Baked Stuffed Shrimp over linguine with Sausage appetizer. The food was fantastic, pleasantly surprised. Service was great. Social distancing was followed. I totally recommend this place and will return. I give it a 10, a rarity.

This is my first time leaving a review and although I feel guilty doing it I feel so upset that I decided to anyways. When my husband bit into the little necks he immediately spit it out and said their was something wrong with it. The waitress was coming over to ask how our meal was saw it happen and walked away. I thought he was being dramatic so I bit into one and he was right it was gooey. When I started to pick one apart with the fork it literally fell apart and looked like pudding. It didn’t stay together in one piece like it should have. I didn’t eat all day so I decided to just eat the pasta because we didn’t have time to reorder and eat because we needed to pick the kids up from daycare. While we finished up we ordered a burger to go to make up for the bad meal and I felt bad just having them completely loose out on money during covid even though we didn’t have time to eat. I have a soft spot for restaurants and waitresses during this Pandemic. The manager came out and asked us what the problem was and we told her something just wasn’t right with the clams, they were gooey and feel apart. She told us that the cook ate them and they were fine ( basically calling us liars) then she said I should take this spaghetti because if the little necks are bad “ which she just said the cook said they were not “ that I shouldn’t eat the spaghetti. And my husband and I told her the clams were gooey but the pasta was fine, that we were googling seeing why they were like that but nothing came up. She then said “ they are little necks NOT CLAMS, and if they are bad then you shouldn’t eat the pasta and took it away. I didn’t not eat anything all day I was super busy at work and only stopped there after a Dr. appt. The manager should have not been so rude. I heard the waitress and the manger talk and say “ then why is she eating it. They laughed and made a joke of it. The waitress told us that the chicken wings we ordered with the name poison in them were extremely spicy... we love Spicy and ordered them... they tasted like sweet teriyaki.. it was disappointing. We gave the waitress a 15% tip and were on our way. We will never go back! EVER!

We have been coming to Sonoma since we moved to Rhode Island two years ago. Went again yesterday as things have opened up in the state. First of all my compliments to them for following all the rules. I know it's frustrating for everyone, but I appreciate knowing I am as safe as I can be.nnSecondly...the food is still fantastic and service impeccable. If you havent tried their French Onion soup, you are missing something special! Their broth is dreamy!nnSo go...be safe and kind to the staff...its not their fault they have rules to follow!

We enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken Parmesan, mine prepared gluten free. The green beans we ordered as a side were cooked to perfection with garlic and olive oil. Service was great as well. Highly recommend.
