Dogs by Design & Cats Too!

Been going to this place for over 13 years. Used to be top Service. The last year or so. Service dropped off a cliff. Several times we arrived at 10 am Sat for an Apt. and no one around So we left. Received text next day. “Sorry family emergency”.. . the last straw was last week with an 11am Apt. our beloved pet was not “ready” until 930pm!! I hate to say it. But I think there may be some drug issues with the owner. I will never go back again. I truly wish her all the very best of health. Please all keep your furry family members safe.

I usually don’t write bad reviews but feel the need to when it comes to the safety of my dog and other dogs.nnWe received a phone call at 230 that he was all done and ready to be picked up. We arrived at approximately 250-3pm and when we entered the place there was no one at the desk, which is fine, we assumed she was out back cutting other dogs hair. We rang the bell as it said to if there was no one at the desk, no response. Rang the bell again, no response. We looked around and saw no one but heard dogs barking loud in the back room. My husband and I went outside and walked around the building to see if she was letting a dog out to go to the bathroom. She was no where to be found so we went back in and I once again rang the door bell and my husband was calling the place with his cellphone. We also knocked on the back door where the dogs were and still NO RESPONSE. It had been about 15 minutes now of bells ringing, phones ringing, dogs barking and now us knocking. My husband finally decided to open the door out back where the dogs were and where it said “employees only” and saw our dog in a cage shaking and another dog barking like crazy. We were furious so he walked into the back room and off to left of it was a break room... the OWNER was passed out on the floor. At first we thought she was in danger and something was wrong medically but then we noticed she was cuddling with a blanket. She heard nothing! (How one sleeps through dogs barking, phones ringing, door bells and knocking is beyond me!) My husband had to shake her leg in order for her to wake up. When she woke up we told her we had been there for 15-20 minutes and her response was “really?” “Long weekend”. No apology or anything and still charged us $85 for a buzz cut which we asked for a trim but that was the least of my worries. Thankfully I know she was awake about 30 minutes before we got there because she called but If we didn’t show up and wake her up who knows how long she would have slept and how long those dogs would have gone without water or bathroom breaks! Someone could have just walked right in and took my dog and left (highly unlikely but still a possibility!) I need to tell people this because who knows how often she does this and our fur babies can’t speak up for themselves. Not only is it extremely unprofessional but it is a safety issue. I will never bring my dog there ever again!

This is one of the only shops in the area that is able to groom cats, most refuse to even take them! She did a great job and was very patient with my cat

Great service. If unable to answer my call, owner responds to phone messages quickly. My dog always ends up looking great!

Jocelyn is absolutely brilliant!
