Even if you think you don't like hard cider - try Abandoned! Their product is miles ahead of any others I've tasted, including other local companies. Each variety has a distinct flavor profile so it's fun to try them all (hopped is my favorite); they're never too sweet and always refreshingly effervescent. The addition of the taproom this summer has been amazing - love popping in for a cider and picking up a 6 pack after a Catskills hike or rail trail bike ride. The patio area is lovely and the music is always on point. Great company run by great folks.

Abandoned Cider is my favorite local beverage and the Outpost is the cutest little tasting room, now with a really awesome back patio (with toasty heat lamps). I was never a huge cider fan before trying Abandoned but this cider is different. It’s dry and bubbly and refreshing. Their specialty bottles like Gold Rush and the single tree varieties are out of the world - like taking a bite of an actual apple. I also love that it a truly local business - they source their apples from the right in the Catskills. The owners and staff are awesome and friendly. The Outpost is one of my favorite places to bring friends when they come up to visit.

Abandoned Hard Cider is a local staple! Their cider is delicious, the location is quaint and convenient, and the employees are knowledgable and lovely. Their business model - using abandoned apple orchards to harvest cider apples - is a breath of relief amidst a wasteful food system. And the result is unique, delicious cider flavors that taste like a sip of the Hudson Valley. 10/10 would recommend.

I highly recommend stopping at the Abandoned Hard Cider Outpost. The location has a nice open feel to it, the owners are great to chat with and the cider is delicious! Great place to stop if you need a break along rt 28 or if you're visiting the area and would like to try out some great local cider.

This was a fun little stop on our trip to Woodstock. They offer taster flights and the cider was delicious!
