The Spirit Room

Good place to hang out but a small selection of food on the menu. However the people were great and the drinks were great.

I have visited The Spirit Room dozens of times and will not again. The bartenders spend more time complaining, hanging out with fellow co-workers or friends, paying attention to love interests, and disturbing the conversation of patrons by shouting across the bar than fixing drinks or adding to the environment. It's too bad because some of their drinks are quite good and so is the interior design. But, the drinks, attractive interior, occasional live music or drag shows do not make up for the unwelcoming, inattentive, and rude service.

Cool little place. Very eclectic atmosphere with a ton of stuff everywhere. D&C had an article explaining some of it, look it up! Chicken sandwich was great!!!

Unfortunately, it recently turns out this place is fraudulent to the core. The owners are blatantly violent to customers and employees. Using intimidation to keep great people in our community quite. Unfriendly bartender with a beard and a baseball bat. Host and waiters glaring and huffing. Overpriced drinks. Stressful vibe and a manufactured image. There was very little about the place I liked. I mean, other than leaving.
