On a Friday during the Covid 19 pandemic I lost all access to my accounts, and couldn't even use my debit card, I was able to regain account access until the following Wednesday, at which point they had charged me many fees... which they did reverse, and as they should considering their system malfunctions prevented access and they aren't allowing people into the bank.nnI spoke to someone at the bank that assured me there would be no new charges or fees and not an hour later they applied fees to overdraft my account effectively lying to me .nnFor three years I have asked for some kind of protection on my business account and I've been refused. They made serious mistakes when trying to get a mortgage and have frequent issues with their mobile access which they end up charging their members for especially business members who are offered 0 protection options but i I draw the line at being lied to, if you are considering this bank I would recommend going somewhere else.

You do not get to just force a customer into changing their account because it suits your needs as a bank. I called my bank manager & she started spouting off about how I need road side assistance, phone protection & I get shopping discounts, all for $6 a month, PLUS additional fees. ALL TO USE MY MONEY, WHICH THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A CHARGE BEFORE THIS.nI told her how I already have these & that I needed my checking account back. She said  that is not possible.nThis is the part where you lose a good  & loyal customer.nYou DO NOT GET TO FORCE A CUSTOMER INTO ANYTHING THEY HAVE NOT SIGNED UP FOR.nEVER.nThis is not how customer service works. This is the exact opposite.nNegative 40 stars for AWFUL customer service.

Love this bank! Have had an account here for 8 years now. Most notably, when I walk in and deposit a check, they write down all my account stuff for me. M&T makes me do it myself every time, which constantly annoys me!
