Saint Clare's Denville Hospital

My dad went to emergency room on Monday night. Due to covid he had to check himself in. We were very concerned and did here anything till hours later. The emergency room nurse Christine called and stated that my dad was ready to die. She laughed. So unprofessional and heartless. He was admitted and spent 2 days there. He was coming home and would be on hospice. He was scheduled to leave at 3pm and didn’t end up leaving the hospital till 6pm. They sent him home in an ambulance with just a hospital gown on and nothing else. They could even dress a dying man and send him home with some dignity. Pathetic.

I recently had my baby here back on 10/11/20 and I had such a great experience. I was worried being that it is my first child, I wasn’t sure if I was going to have a rude nurse or not be taken care of properly. Needless to say, my bf and I were given such great care. Nurse Lisa was so amazing and sweet. She even came in before her shift a few days later just to check on us after my delivery. The hospital was clean and every single staff member was super nice. I definitely recommend this hospital for maternity and will be coming back here with any future pregnancies.

Beware OF THIS EMERGENCY ROOM. I have been balance billed and you might be as well. They violated Out-Of-Network consumers protection, Transparency, Cost Containment and Accountability Act.

I had my first baby here recently and that experience was great. I loved all my nurses and doctors.nThat said, billing has been a nightmare ever since I started seeing their neonatal team. Firstly, I receive two completely different types of bills (not uncommon for hospitals). One is for the hospital and the other is for the doctor. The doctor bills are great, show me an itemized receipt and my insurance info.nThe hospital bills are consistently listed under separate accounts (?? I’m one person, same social, why am I getting billed at several accounts?) and do nothing to show me what I’m being charged for or if my insurance is being processed.nAfter having my baby, I received all phone calls “to me” at my parent’s number despite the fact all of my paperwork (which I received a copy of) lists MY number as the primary contact and my mother as the emergency. Lactation consultants, doctors, everyone has called my parents and left personal information on a phone that they weren’t authorized to leave messages on. Then, I received a call from billing about adding my son’s information to the wrong insurance and requesting a call back because “we don’t know his name”. I filled out all of my paperwork at the hospital. His name is in a million places.nI’ve called several times and never get anyone. Most recently, I was on hold for over 30 minutes.nI just want to be able to correct all my info and pay my bills while balancing a newborn child screaming in the background. Please update your systems so we can do things online jf you’re not going to have enough employees in your billing department to read and process paperwork.

I spent hours trying to resolve a billing issue on the phone and just got one big shuffle...I finally was asked to call Mary at patient experience .Mary said she would look into it.It has been 6 weeks with several messages and no response.
