Great experience with Avenel/Iselin medical group. The doctors and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always very nice to speak at every appointment. The doctors take the time to listen to my concerns. I appreciate how well they take care of my health.nHighly recommended!!

One pro is that they're close to home. Doctors don't take interest in symptoms and will do the bare minimum like tell you to rest and take pain killers. Unsupportive if you seeking specialists opinions even though they're not specialists themselves. You're going to end up with a co pay and 2 minutes of their time compromised of them brushing you off. They set appointments in their head and not on paper so make sure you call or they'll forget about you. And if they say they'll have paperwork ready for you at a certain time add about 3 to 4 hours and then it will actually be ready for you so don't plan anything around the times they tell you if you need it urgently you have to be firm with them cause they don't care enough about anyone besides themselves.the office is clean, that's the second star. That's all.

I’ve been a patient here for many years. There is always a doctor or PA available to take care of me 7 days a week. Every staff member has always been polite, warm and congenial. The front desk personnel have always been patient, efficient and helpful. Have I had to wait to be seen sometimes? Yes, but that’s life . Some patients may require a longer than expected visit. Next time it could be you. J I’m m usually taken back within 10 minutes of my arrival. I love that when I’m leaving I get a copy of my bloodwork and a summary of my visit. I’ve moved further away since I started with them but I still drive the 45 minutes to come to this practice.

I’ve used AIMG for about 6 years now. Even after I moved from the area, I continued to use the office. I have experiences with doctors that almost convinced me to find a new doctor. Note to the practice: bedside manner actually matters. I continued visiting and had positive experiences with PAs. However, I find it incredibly disrespectful of patients’ time to have them wait for longer than the doctor will actually be with them. Waiting 55 minutes to be seen for 5 is unacceptable and no way to run a practice. Waiting more than 15 minutes is unreasonable for a scheduled appointment. I recognize that schedules do not always flow as anticipated and that late arrivals can negatively impact the day. That being said, consistent tardiness on the part of the practitioner is, quite simply put, rude. And, yes, this means I will no longer be using the practice.
