This is the perfect place for new England comfort food. The ambiance I'd homey. There's a lovely fireplace. Food is rich and delicious. Its like you're eating home made food. If I was not picking I'd say the chicken pot pie wasn't 10/10 like everything else was. The pot roast and meatloaf and bacon dip and chicken was amazing, though

First time visit that will definitely not be the last. This restaurant offers an amazing variety of dishes that will appeal to every member of your party. The staff was friendly and attentive from greeting us upon entering through service and paying the bill. Food quality is top notch with fresh ingredients and homemade taste. The menu is not big, but choosing just one item is difficult. I went with the Lobster Corn Chowder, Sweet Corn Bacon Ravioli, and finally the White Chocolate Creme Brule (see photos). Stop in and treat yourself, you deserve it and won't be disappointed.

Edit: I need to change my review . . . . . we frequent this location often as it's not far from our home. We recently visited this location on a Monday night so It wasn't busy. My wife and I got the same dish, chicken pot pie. Our food was brought out and immediately, we realized the vegetables in pot pie were not cooked, they were way too crunchy. The server apologized and got newly cooked pot pies for both of us. The issue with the vegetables were resolved but I found while eating my pot pie something much worse . . . . I found a piece of jagged metal . . . shrapnel from a cleaning tool used on their griddle/stove! Not good at all. We flagged down the server who then brought over the manager. The manager profusely apologized and comp'd our meal and offered to get us a 3rd entree. We said no thank you. They did provide us with take home dessert.nI certainly appreciate how the wait staff and manager handled the situation but, I am not sure if I can trust the cooking staff has changed their practice of using such a cleaning device. In theory, I could have ended up in the hospital if I had swallowed that piece of jagged metal. If someone from The Common Man reads this review, please comment to confirm a policy change of cleaning instruments to ensure this will never occur again. Until I hear, I cannot return to this or any Common Man establishment which is a shame.nnOriginal Review: Great food!

Solid but basic in style for the price range. The crackers and cheese and the white chocolate finish are beloved signatures of the chain. Everything will be pretty good, but it's not going to wow you. I feel like I wouldn't have any complaints at all if they knocked 3 bucks or so off the entree prices. The price sets the quality expectation, and they just fall a couple dollars short.

Cozy feeling dark relaxing atmosphere. Garlic parm tater tots were ridiculously good. Buffalo tenders had an awesome crunchy bite to them. Really good staff. Drinks were nice and full. Very reasonable prices.
