My girlfriend and I made this impressive property the last stop on our two night NH getaway after seeing stellar reviews and it became a major highlight of the trip. The owner, Eric, has mastered the art of wine and spirit making and pairs tasty wines (we did the wine tasting) with interesting conversation! Being in the service industry myself, I appreciated his interest in getting to know us, as well as valuing our time. This is exactly how customers should feel leaving a store. I am not a big wine drinker yet liked each from top to bottom, making it tough for us to decide which to buy. Will definitely return as this has become my wine curbside pickup alternative to Treehouse!
So glad to have come on a Sunday when it was quiet - the owners were kind enough to let us bring our dog inside! 6 wine pours for $20 per person might be a little steep, but make sure to take advantage of the deal on their website - this tasting fee is waived if you buy 2 bottles per person (or 3 per couple). Loved the selection and that you could try red, white, fruit wine, or any spirit for a flat price. The grounds are stunning and even on chilly days it's a great place to spend an hour or two!
Looked online while on vacation for a winery we could visit. What first caught my eye, was the name. We then pull up greeted by the owner, he was very informative with the wine we were drinking. It is a very cozy building, and has a beautiful view of the mountains outside. I recommend this winery for anyone who is looking for a cozy, welcoming tasting. Affordable as well. Will return next year!!
Showed up for a tasting, had one person working and waited 10 minutes for him to acknowledge us. We were asked if we had an appointment and when we said no, were told somewhat abruptly that we could not get any tastings for an hour. I understand needing a reservation but thought the worker ( not sure if owner) could have been a bit nicer about it. Too bad because looked like a nice place. Must be doing very well to turn business away. How about having more than one person working.
Eric was awesome! We enjoyed the experience and the view. He was a great host and very entertaining. Interesting career. Sugar Maple Rum was fantastic!
