Every aneshesiologist, doctor, RN in pre-op and in surgery as well as after, was kind, personable, caring and interested in me. They had comforting words and encouragement for me as this was my very first surgery. I cannot say enough good of the staff I had contact with for my surgery with Dr. Samona. They reminded me that they were there for ME and this was all about me. They ensured me that they would take very good care of me. They made me laugh, and I also noticed the interaction between them as coworkers was healthy and that added to the environment feeling safe! Thank you McLaren Oakland.

Came in for a colonoscopy the nurses was very nice especially lana moore the endo nurse bea my pre op nurse and claudia the supervisor they gave me comfort they were just the best nurses I had delt with in a long time this experience was good beside not being able to start an IV

Very poor communication from the hospital to me before and after my girlfriends surgery. The doctor came out to say everything went well and it would be an hour to an hour and a half in post op as long as everything went well, two and a half hours later I get a text from my girlfriend, THE PATIENT, that she is feeling rough. The hospital staff never bothered to let me know anything. Not impressed with this hospital in the least.

My fiancé wasn’t comfortable (in pain) and I had to ask multiple times for pain meds then the room we were in was way too hot so we asked for a cooler room cause it flares up his asthma that’s why we’re here in the first place they didn’t want to switch the room until we both got on him for it being hot knowing it flares it up so we changed rooms and finally got some meds after 4-5 hours then a woman across from us is screaming for help cause she had to vomit and everyone ignored her she kept asking for help then they finally came .... I would NOT recommend it’s as if they don’t care cause it’s not them or theirs
