Really quality store for running shoes. Take the time to measure and insure a good fit. Also knowledgeable staff can help you find the right shoe for your style of running as well as any foot issues no arch overpronation narrow or wide foot. Would have given five stars but sometimes their prices are just a little high compared to onlineI still try to shop local and appreciate the one-on-one service but sometimes the deal you can get online it's just too hard to beat.

I took my daughters to the Springfield Running Center last year on the advice of their cross country coach to get shoes to help with their running injuries caused partially by shoes that did not fit their feet well. The shoes we bought at Springfield Running Center worked wonderfully for them and we saw an improvement in their injuries and their healing almost immediately.nnI have a herniated disk from a fall years ago, and have major pain daily. After seeing such a profound improvement for my daughters after buying new shoes, I thought that perhaps if I got a shoe that specifically fit me, it might possibly help. I had watched the staff at the Running Center work with my daughters to get the perfect fit, so I thought I needed their expertise in getting me the perfect shoe. I wear good sports shoes, so I was not expecting it to change, but I thought it would be worth a try. I have had to stop running because of the pain but still walk, and it has been years since I could move without extreme pain.nnI purchased a new pair of shoes from The Running Center. I wore them the next day. That day I had very little pain in my hip and leg. The next day I switched back to my other shoes and had major pain all day. I still thought it was just a fluke, but it was not. When I wear the shoes that fit my feet that I purchased at The Running Center and supported my high arches, I have much less pain.nnWhen I bought the shoes, I was also asked what I wore in the house. I am usually barefoot.It was suggested that a special slip on sandal might help to provide the support I need while at home. I was a little skeptical, and really didn’t want to spend more money, but after a personal story of how it helped him after an injury, I decided that if it helped reduce pain it was worth a try.nnIt was definitely worth it. I am so pleased with all the things I have purchased there. I love the service, and how they share the knowledge they have about all things related to running. They all know first hand about injuries, and recovery since all of the staff are runners and love running. I learn something new each time I go. There are many things I am not familiar with, and my questions are always answered in a very respectful manner.nnI also love that they now know our names and we are helped by the same people that have helped us before. They remember what our history is and treat us well. There is no high pressure sales, an each time they have tried to find us the best deal available.nnI know that good running shoes are expensive, and especially when the kids are growing so quickly. We do not have much money, and struggle financially but when I put it in perspective that after their running injuries we spent 3 months going to physical therapy and the cost in time , money and the pain, buying well-fitting running shoes was well worth it. Just to not see them in pain has been amazing.nnI love the personal care we get and their love of running is contagious. We will continue to be a part of and support this amazing place.nnMy only regret is not taking the advice of our cross country coach sooner. It took me over a year after it was suggested to me. We live an hour away and I rationalized that the expense and distance wasn’t worth it, I was so wrong. We love The Running Center!
