I will update my review as need be. I read reviews frequently, so I feel i should be leaving ones regarding my experiences..nnThe Fernandes Center I am really torn between 4 & 5 stars but the only thing that would make it 4 rather than 5 is the extremely long wait list. I don’t feel it is there fault there is not enough quality care in the area. I knew from my first contact with them regarding my daughter (at the time she was probably about 4) give or take. She was having behavioral challenges that I knew were not typical. So I was concerned, I contacted the Fernandes Center about ADHD and other evaluations but when I found out about the wait list, I chose to find alternatives. With that said, I feel ot is the parent’s responsibility to do what is best for their child. Some people may have been able to wait but I couldn’t so I did the research myself and took her to Boston Childrens Hospital. I know it is a long drive for people in this area but anyone is capable of it. If you don’t have transportation, etc your insurance probably provides transportation when needed.nnShe was tested before kindergarten and diagnosed with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and later ODD. I started getting her help immediately with different counseling agencies, in home therapists, and mentor’s etc. (the resources are there you just need to do homework). After over a year of trying everything imaginable we decided to finally try adhd meds, she didn’t have a current psychiatrist so I reached out to her pediatrician who started her on meds, but felt she should also see a pediatric specialist at the Fernandes Center. We were on the wait list for just about a year as estimated and she finally did see a specialist there.nnThe office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When arriving at all appointments they were very prompt, with hardly any wait time and the dr was very thorough, informative and helpful. By this time we did have a psychiatrist on board but the dr explained that if needed she could also handle medication management. I realized I was not as comfortable as I thought with the current prescriber and the office staff was very rude to me so we are now switching to the Fernandes center for this also.nnI highly recommend the Fernandes Center to anyone In need of a number of services, with the note that there is a wait and do some homework while waiting. :)

The Fernandes Center For Children Families is an amazing place for children to get referrals and help that they need that they probably wouldn’t get elsewhere. They gave my son a neurological test to see where he is with his ADHD and because of those test he was diagnosed with another disorder ODD.nnThank you ud83dude4f for all your help and understanding and for going above and beyond every time.
