My husband was admitted to the hospital on July 9th and spend 8 days on Balfour ward.nThe care he received was above and beyond my expectation. The staff was wonderful, caring and professional.nI would recommend Sturdy Memorial Hospital to all as they were 100% dedicated to provide the care possible.nThank you to all staff members.

HORRIBLE service. I’ve been here multiple times and every time i’ve had to wait in the waiting room for over 2 hours just for them to see me for a total of 5 minutes. This hospital is a joke. Once i got taken in they placed me on a stretcher in the middle of the hallway. They are completely under staffed, and those who were there working were sitting around being useless. There were people well within 6 feet of me keep in mind corona.

Dont expect to recieve quality care here. Long wait times and good luck reaching a real human who genuinely cares about answering your question. Shameful, especially during a pandemic.

The staff at this hospital are so compassionate. It must be a wonderful place to work because people are always so nice to each other. The MS Center is great—they really treat the whole person, not just the disease. The infusion center is full of very kind people ( and they will give you a free meal if you are there long enough). Plus the emergency room saved my husband’s life when he had sepsis. I trust this hospital more than some of the research hospitals I have had to go to. They care for you and not just for the thrill of making a diagnosis.

If I could give negative stars I would. They're rude, they don't communicate with one another, and they don't care about the patients. I went because my disease was flaring up and I was bleeding non stop. They put me in a room and after being in agony for over 3 hours I pushed my call button and they came in and told me they FORGOT I WAS EVEN THERE and that I would have to wait even longer! No nurse ever did intake or give me fluids. My temp was 101 and I was sweating from the pain (which they could see). When I said I had enough and wanted to leave, they told me they would call the police on me because I was leaving against medical advice. Wouldn't recommend going there unless you're dying, and even then they still might forget about you and make you wait hours. Horrible, horrible experience. They should be ashamed of themselves and the way they run that hospital.
