Worst experience ever!!!!! They do not return calls. They run test and lie to you about it! They do not care about their patients well being at all but to get you in the door act as though they do. I am 32+ weeks pregnant and new to the area. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint since they are jeopardizing the care of myself and my child. Should anything happen to me or my unborn daughter I will be pursuing legal action. They said they were doing one thing and turned around and did another. They also send labs to the hospital for processing which cost more money. I want to bring awareness to this and the fact that they are not completely and fully disclosing all necessary information to patients. They offered my food bank information I guess because I am brown or due to my current insurance. What an assumption! I do not like the discrimination that I have received and advise anyone else who feels the same to pursue their rights and take action. Right now their office is closed for lunch fir over 2 hours!! Wow!!!
Absolutely the WORST place to go for your pregnancy. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my pregnancy. I had bad experiences with most of the doctors there and regret not fully speaking up until now. I had one doctor say that if I didn’t watch my weight, my daughter would be still born and very unhealthy. This doctor in particular was very rude and hateful to me and if it was up to me, she would be no employee of mine. Do not go be vulnerable with these people after you have a baby either. I suffer from post partum anxiety and after taking the “medicine” I was prescribed I noticed it was only to knock me out and was actually an allergy medication according to google reviews on the said medicine. It’s a shame because I was openly honest at my first ever appointment and was super vulnerable in saying I had already suffered from anxiety. I honestly think none of these people care about you or the well being of yourself after having a baby. I see why this place has 2 stars now and wish I could have seen the reviews before I chose them when I was pregnant with my daughter. That doctor was wrong and I have a beautiful, healthy little girl. If you can avoid this place, please do at all costs. The only nice people are the nurses doing non stress tests and were the only people to make me feel heard and cared for. If you don’t like your job or like being a nurse/nurse practitioner, please... find another job. Moms are often scared and motherhood is a new journey for most. Especially in a pandemic. You would think doctors would help new mothers who suffer with anxiety but if that’s what you need, this place isn’t it.
There is a lady Luz Restrepo at the entrance checking the temperature, she speaks Spanish but she is a very rude person. I have visited the clinic twice and the first time it was not friendly at all but I did not care so much and today I went back to an appointment with my sister and I approached to ask a question and it was the most impolite, I think it is a person who does not He should be in that place, he is arrogant and unprofessional, he did not even answer my question. I do not recommend the clinic.
I have gone for two appointments within a month due to debilitating pelvic pain. The first appointment I went into the clinic and I had a wonderful experience. The front desk was kind, the wait wasn’t long at all, and everyone was very friendly. The doctor I had this time was the first doctor that actually seemed to believe me when I said I wasn’t experiencing normal period pain. She told me I was having symptoms of endometriosis and ordered an ultra sound for me. Getting an ultra sound is the first step of testing for endometriosis but VERY RARELY does it actually show any signs of the disease. At my follow up I had a different doctor that immediately minimalized my debilitating pain, told me it wasn’t due to my period or “women’s organs” (even though the flare ups happen ONLY the day before my period or when I’m ovulating), told me I was fine because my ultra sound looked normal, then told me my only choices are to go on birth control or get pregnant. Neither of these things would help me find out what is causing my pain or fix my pain, they’re both just temporary band aids to help my pain possibly go down, but won’t fix the root of the problem. When I seemed unsure or tried to ask more questions the doctor told me to go somewhere else and find a different doctor. When I asked her what to do next time I had one of these flare ups she just dismissed it as if it wasn’t anything. Treating me as if I were just a whiny girl that can’t handle her period. They say on average it takes a woman 8-10 years to get an endometriosis diagnosis and this is why, too many doctors belittle and dismiss the pain. Too many doctors don’t genuinely care, it was a horrendous and disheartening experience. I thought I was finally getting somewhere with figuring out what is wrong with me and instead I have to start all over again. I will not be returning to prisma, not even for an annual exam.
I had a great time. Not a super long wait, and Dr Smith was absolutely incredible and thorough. The negative reviews left me skeptical but my experience was great!
