Best Western Okmulgee

Clean, quiet hotel with friendly staff. They said there was no breakfast but if you ask the front desk they have options available. The pool was closed but it was during the winter storm I stayed there so I'm not sure of they have options for people to use it with covid going on.nBeds were a good size as was the room, vanity was in the bathroom which I appreciate rather than having it outside the bathroom with a toddler who likes to mess with everything. We did have an issue with our deposit not being returned but I think that was an issue with my bank not the fault of the hotel.nOverall a pretty decent hotel I wouldn't be against staying at again.

Clean rooms, great staff, pet friendly quiet surroundings. The hotel has 5 acres of grassland surrounding the property, perfect for walking your pet. Close to fast food and gas stations. Highly recommended.

Our entire town had its water shut off due to the recent winter storm so my family and I decided to go to our nearby town of Okmulgee to stay for the night at the Best Western. Upon arrival the front desk person was friendly and customer-focused. We checked into our room and realized the TV wasn't working so we called the front desk and she came right in to check things out. She tried to fix the issue but was unable to so she said we would be getting a different room. We were relocated upstairs to a new room and the fridge was unplugged and out in the middle of the room which was ok we plugged it back in hoping it was working and then my son went to take a shower. A few minutes later the front desk person was at the door saying the shower was leaking downstairs so we would need to change rooms AGAIN. At this point we are all just exhausted from fighting busted water pipes and no water and we will do anything at this point to just be able to each take a shower. So we move to a 3rd room and just hoped everything was working this time. At this point I asked the front desk person if there was any way we could possibly get a discount off our room rate for all the trouble. She said she would leave a note for the manager and we could speak to her in the morning. The next day we went down to speak to the manager and she immediately started verbally attacking us saying it was our fault and that now she was gonna have to have three rooms cleaned because of us. I tried to explain that we were ASKED to move rooms to no fault of our own. She stormed behind the desk saying she would give us $10 back to which I said was fine (at this point it isn't even worth arguing with her) but instead she started saying we had too many people in the room and would need to pay extra!!! We had 4 people in a double queen room which is the exact occupancy for a double queen room. Completely appalled by the manager's behavior and will never stay at this hotel again even in the event of another emergency situation! Talk about making a bad experience even worse. Such a shame they don't care enough about their customers to just do something ANYTHING to show they want to make things right. I don't see how they stay in business. Stay elsewhere for sure!
