Great selection of work boots and reasonable prices for a local business! If you need boots for hiking, work, or just a damn fine pair of shoes for a night out you can't go wrong with Family Footwear Center!
My husband and I were in search of hiking shoes and Family Footwear was recommended to us. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere felt uncomfortable. My husband is black and I am white. He was followed around the store the entire time by a woman employee and when he asked for assistance finding a size she was extremely rude tossing around boxes in an aggressive way. There was another man trying on boots near by and left boxes on the floor. After we found the size we needed on our own we began to walk away and she rudely said “Sir, your not going to pick this up?” We replied those were not our shoes, clearly as they were 3 sizes smaller than we were getting. If we didn’t need the shoes today we would have not shopped there. We will go out of town before we shop there again.
Place will not close as advertised, closed 6 minutes early today, this Sunday, witnessed workers running out & in trying to leave early. Fine, will go ahead & order what I need on Amazon
I love that shoes store, the workers are so nice.
Doug (or Dan) listened and set 2 pair of hiking boots for me to try and I selected the right one for me and am completely happy with my boots after 70 AT miles. The customer service was exactly what I needed, the selection was adequate and the sales reps info helped me greatly. Keep up the great work!
