My permanent residence is in New Jersey but I spend the summer and fall in Lenox. Regardless of the time of the year I order my books for pleasure reading always from the Lenox bookstore. My problem is that once I am in the store i forget to leave. It is that kind of a literary sanctuary,
Great independent bookstore! Owner is helpful and fun! Wrapping is perfect traditional bookstore style with nice image of the store.
Today, I walked into this bookstore to find a book to read without any idea of what kind of book I was looking for. I didn’t know what genre, an author or even a hint of what I wanted to read. The man working went all around the entire bookstore, explaining book after book until one caught my interest. Thanks to this man’s patience, and genuine love of books, I found exactly what I didn’t know that I was looking for. I came into this bookstore as someone who doesn’t read and left as an avid reader and loyal customer.
This is a wonderful bookstore. The titles are well-chosen with no dross. The owner, Matt, is delightful and knows a lot about books and local history.nI came here almost every day I was in Lenox.
