Wigwam Western Summit

We were incredibly lucky to be able to stay here for a night (although I wish we would have stayed longer). Booking was a breeze and Lea was very responsive. It is clear covid is being taken seriously at this property, with a questionnaire that was sent right away and option to bring hour own bedding for a reduced price. The drive up the summit was beautiful, but nothing compared to the actual property. You are on hour own perch with breathtaking views. Upon arrival, they had our door propped open to help with air circulation of the unit. We had placed a dinner order and opted for the fire pit setup. Dinner was great and delivered without any contact (again, covid being taken very seriously here). The sunset was amazing! And the fire with the view was the cherry on top. The cabin was clean and super cute. The outside space was awesome - picnic table, bistro table (in two places), charcoal grill, fire pit and hammock were all wonderful. The new outdoor shower was beautiful and a fun touch. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee and both were delicious! Again, delivered no contact in an adorable picnic basket- such a fun touch.nnI can’t say enough great things about this place, and the people who run it. We will definitely be back, and we will bring friends with us next time!

This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The views from here are out of this world. Is called the America's Switzerland!!! Lea the owner of the shop is an amazing and sweet person that will make you feel like family. This place is highly recommended if you want to see some amazing views while drinking a coffee, hot cocoa or hot apple cider!!!!

Was passing by on my bike and could smell the coffee, we had to stop. While the inside wasn't open due to the current situation, there was a beautiful array of scones and other baked goods available on the porch. As well as coffee. And not just any coffee, but a delicious locally roasted, freshly ground variety, touted by a chatty shopkeeper. Well she did not disappoint! In a few short minutes she brewed a gorgeous pour over just for me and one for my mate. The coffee was fitting for the view we had that brisk morning and I'll be thinking of that brew for probably the rest of time.

All seating is outdoors. Seats are not six feet apart. All staff did an excellent job with social distancing and wearing masks. Half of the people who arrived in cars and all of the people who arrived on motorcycles did not wear masks, even when in close proximity. There are lots of swear words on the souvenir items for sale, it would be hard to avoid that with kids.nnThe homemade chili was excellent. A two bean recipe, no spiciness to it, but a wonderful depth of flavor. Chicken soup was better than I can make (and I've been making it for years), they did something to the broth that gave it a fullness that was amazing.

What can you say about a place so perfect...what words if any will do it any justice?nSuch is the conundrum I face trying to write a review for the Wigwam Western Summit a place that’s not a destination, but rather a place that feels like home.nThis magical place quiets the soul enough to find your pulse between the swaying of the trees in the cool mountain air. Life is simple here, relaxed, and for a moment time stands still.nIt’s easy to see why some many artists call North Adams home. Never has a place awakened the soul quiet like here.nThe only want you have here is the desire for more time. Lea and Wayne have undertaken the Herculean task of restoring the retreat to its glory days, and it shows with every little detail they have put into it. The hand carved shutters on the cabins, the outdoors showers that make you feel like you are part of nature, the tasteful decorations within the cabins, the cabin service that provides you with a quick lite fire after a day of explorations. No details have been left out, and both Lea and Wayne truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome at their home.nThe coffee is simply amazing, the tasteful treats and whoppie pies are crafted with the same passion as everything put into the resort.nAfter spending the weekend there I feel refreshed, reset and encouraged that their are still places like this, and people like Lea, and Wayne.nI wish the Wigwam continued you success and I will be coming back over and over again!nThis place is worth every penny, and no stay in North Adams is complete without a few nights here!
