Sending children here is a HUGE MISTAKE!nnSave your family a lot of stress and strain, and keep your kids from learning bad behaviors from other children, by investing time into your kids, family, and parental education instead of sending them away if at all possible!nnI sent my offspring here because the other highly-advertised residential temporary treatment facility for youth can't even follow their own stated rules and are highly unprofessional and incompetent.nnI checked my child into the hospital with express instructions to not give them any medications at all without my permission in writing. I called the next day to see how my child was doing, and was told that the doctors had started them on an antacid drug, and antidepressant, AND a painkiller! Only one of these medications was available without a prescription.nnNot only did they ignore my medical instructions for my child, they prescribed them strong drugs that alter the way the body works, within far too short a time frame for a physician to be able to properly evaluate a patient. One 15-minute chat with any new patient during a time of high stress, will almost always result in thoughts that said patient is in distress.nnConcerned for my child's safety, I returned to the hospital immediately and had a talk with the doctors and floor staff, during which time they insinuated that I was an idiot, called me a liar, and got threatening in an attempt to intimidate me into letting them keep my child and continue ignoring my wishes regarding my child's care.nnI am a rational person, and had the physician or one of their assistants called me to get informed consent of the medication(s) that they had intended to prescribe, I likely would have gone up and signed off on some of them. I made them promise, in writing, to not try to pull that garbage again, and at my child's behest, approved of the antidepressant and left my offspring again, as we both still hoped that they would get real help, and not just drugged.nnWhen my child was discharged, after being drugged on mind-altering chemicals for a month, the doctors did not send us home with any prescriptions. If the drugs were so important that the doctors said my child needed them in the hospital, then why would they not need the same medications when at home?!nnThe point is that this establishment, like the other one, is only interested in your money, and keeping your kids drugged up and complacent while they rake in the dough. They do not care one single iota about the health, stability, welfare, or mental status of your child.nnSave yourself a huge amount of money:nRead books or audit college-level courses on interpersonal communication, on child development for the ages appropriate to your child, and study up on parenting some more, because no matter how well you are doing, there is always something new to learn, some new trick to try, that might work for your unique family.nnI never thought I'd say this, but the other place is actually better! ((o.0))nnI wouldn't inflict this horrible place and staff on anyone!

This place gave me more mental disorders. The staff is rude and horrible, they only care about there selves. The only good thing about being there was meeting my friends :) Being in there didn’t help me at all.

DO NOT GO HERE! The staff is horrible and rude to all of the children. I went here over a year ago and feel very strongly about this. If you love your children at all, you won't bring them here.
