We drove by Sage Diner several times in the past, and each time we passed it we noticed that they had plenty of customers. Now we know why!!!nWe finally stopped in and were very pleased with the selections on the menu, great prices, our friendly and attentive waitress, and really good food. Won't pass it by again without stopping.
We travel through the area every week during the summer and it was a regular stop for us. About a year ago, the quality of the food changed. It was when it reopened after Covid hit. We stop once in a while to see if it has improved but it hasn't. It's sad.
Came in right before closing and they were so nice! Waitress was very attentive and polite. All of our food was cooked correctly and arrived fast! Most of us had fried oysters and they were very good! Great turnip greens.
Place was very clean and we were greeted and seated right away. The waitress was very kind and friendly. Food was good but the sides could be seasoned a little better. We will be visiting again
The food was delicious! But thing today when went had a new waitress told I could not understand what she saying I told her could not understand her because I hard of hearing ! I ask her to speak up! Never did And she was really like trying to hurry us up eating to get us out ! I never felt way before than placed my order told I would like to have a extra piece bread and a side of gravy when she brought our food out my fries didn't have gravy and no extra piece of bread! I order the hot roast beef and french fries platter with a garden salad had ask for a side gravy had ask for my side of bread ! Than she acted like it was a bother to her to get my sides that I ordered! BUT THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD
