Was on the Cape for 12 days. We had dinner at Pearl's 3X. Oyster shooters and cold beer a must. Class and oysters on the half very good as is the claim chowder. Lobster roll excellent. My kids enjoyed the nachos and burgers. Daughter is allergic to shell fish and they were very accommodating. Very good, fast service.
Friendly and great service. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful; he knew the menu and recommended the Farmer's Daughter cocktail to my girlfriend, which she loved.nnThe food was also very good. The shrimp and grits was very flavorful (nice warning spice and savory saltiness) and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Some acid (lime juice?) would have balanced the dish a bit, but I'm just nitpicking - it was a really good dish.nnThe oyster ole, a tequila, lime, and Tabasco oyster shooter with a spice rim was interesting, but the oyster was lost in it and I probably would order just oysters before I ordered it again.nnReally the only issue was the speed that the food came out of the kitchen: it was about 50 minutes between ordering and the food being served. Luckily, the live music and pretty good weather helped and we weren't in a rush. Still, that's quite a wait for a salad and one hot entree between my girlfriend and I.
Nice outdoor dining although the sulfur from the nearby water can stink a bit. Friendly staff with a decent assortment of food. I liked the sauce options for the fish choices. My scallops were super tender and tasty but the rice was bland. My wife and mother-in-law got salads that they were disappointed in. My father-in-law got the fish tacos, which he liked. Overall the food was decent but a little overpriced.
We’ve been going to Wellfleet for years and this was a first for us and won’t be the last! Our server, Jack, was attentive, knowledgeable of the entrees, and one of the best servers we encountered at any of the restaurants we visited.nOur first course was the fried calamari which was fried to perfection! Tender and crispy just perfect!nI had the cod fish tacos, they were so yummy and way too much for me. My husband had the colossal lobster roll and boy was there a lot of lobster! We both chose the house chips and they were equally delicious.nWe can’t wait for our next vacation to the Cape to visit this gem!
I had such a good experience at the Pearl!nnI very rarely give out five stars, but honestly, I have nothing to nitpick from this experience.nnWe were seated on the patio, with plenty of space between us and others, so we felt safe in COVID times. Everyone wore their masks, over their noses and mouths, and we felt very taken care of. We all got drinks and they were all satisfying, from local beer to frosé to cider and more.nnMy BF and I got oysters, which were super fresh and delicious. They were also well shucked, no shell pieces to be found.nnMy mom got the oyster sashimi, which had thin pieces of ginger and maybe ponzu sauce? I can't remember now, but whatever it was, it was frickin' bomb. Maybe the bite of the night.nnMy dad got a stuffed quahog, which was HUGE, rich, and filling.nnFor my meal, I got the baked scallops, and they were just fantastic. The casserole dish was brimming with scallops, perfectly cooked, baked with leeks, mushrooms, fennel seeds, bacon, and bechamel sauce, topped with crushed crackers. I subbed the potatoes out for more veggies, which were roasted and not overdone. The dish was SO SO rich, as you can tell from the bacon and bechamel, but it all came together really nicely. The leeks and mushrooms lended a bunch of umami flavor and the crackers were so crispy on top, giving additional texture to the dish. I could have easily split this with someone, BUT.... I ate it all myself.nnEverything here sounded fantastic, and I'd definitely return to eat my way through the menu.
