Service was excellent. Hot parkerhouse rolls started our meal. Prepare yourself for huge servings. We started with very good crab cakes, fried calamari with hot peppers and chorizo. The wedge was enough for 4 and served with vinegarette and blue cheese. The 1/2 duck was enough for two served with good mashed potatoes, string beans and fresh corn off the cob. The special of the day was a very good halibut served over asparagus risotto. The health salad included quinoa served with a choice of grilled chicken or 6 grilled oceN scallops perfectly cooked. The filet was the perfect size served with bacon studded mashed potatoes, string beans and corn. Desert was an excellent shortcake with strawberries and blueberries, house made cheesecake also served with strawberries and blueberries and house made vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce served over a chocolate brownie

Four of us stopped in for a Sunday night dinner—SO AWFUL—I am in disbelief that this restaurant thought is was ok to serve food to us of such POOR quality. My Chicken Milanese was definitely left over from the night before or if not, cooked/fried till it was as dry as a bone and browned to a crisp!! It was sitting on a bed of cold mashed potatoes and the whole plate buried in wet arugula!!! What the?? As we were with friends visiting us , I did not send it back—no matter because later our friend who had the lobster croissant mentioned that it was tasted “off” and she ended up with us offering Alka seltzer to her before bed!! My husband mussels also had a strange odor. Really—I have not had a bad meal like this here on CC for years!! This was the worst and most embarrassing experience as we had out of town guests who we had told The Beacon would offer us a fine meal!! Ughhhh!!!

Just had the most amazing meal of my entire life here. The pistachio crusted sole is a can't miss!

Fantastic service with exceptional food. This place is by far the highest caliber of restaurants in Orleans. 11/10 recommend (call for reservations)
