Bon Secours - Southside Medical Center

I like to apologize for what I wrote. I didn't mean to erase what I wrote. I'm new at this. I give it two stars because of the rudeness.

Very lovely ladies, all of them. The Dr. Is amazing. The check in lady, Julie is so absolutely the most kind beautiful soul. Love them all. God bless you all.

I have recently received in the past year excellent care for a serious emergency situation at this facility and will say I was taken care of most efficiently couldn’t have been better. I’m now most concerned as well as others I have talked with that as of Dec. 1, this has now become an out of network hospital for those having Anthem insurance because of negotiations not being able to be resolved between Bon Secours and Anthem. This hospital will be loosing many patients as well as doctors that follow their patients at this facility. Revenue will still be lost. No previous notice was given to policy holders as well as the elderly on Medicare with Anthem as their supplemental insurance. Many of the aging up group do not follow or know how to use social media so this was a shock to those I have contact with. They don’t drive long distances and don’t know what to do next. This is the closest hospital for them to travel to for care . With Covid on the major surge again many will either stay at home or even pass away in homes for fear of going to Southside for treatment. How sad. They could incur an outrageous bill they could never pay do to out of network. Come back to the negotiations table Bon Secours and Anthem to help SAVE lives in the surrounding community for those that choose Southside as their main point of service. I hope for the best in this situation and pray a resolution will come out of this quickly not to late.

I was recently in this hospital to have my baby boy. The experience I had was exceptional. The nurses were caring and took good care of me during my stay.

Never been to this hospital before. 3rd floornPros:nRN Kelly - Very attentive, great bed side manner, knowledgeable, compassionate and amazing at her job.nNurse Theresa - Very helpful and amazing at her job.nCons: Whoever was in my room after surgery that argued with me and called security on me. For real? If I knew their name I would go after their job because they need to find another line of work.
