John Randolph Medical Center

The staff at John Randolph Medical Center were excellent. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. I could see that the staff took great pride in their work and treated me with the utmost care. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone.nThanks staff for a job well done!

I was so impressed by the care I received at John Randolph. The nurses and doctors that cared for me were amazing. I would like to thank Shannon, Ashley, Michelle, Christine, Bethany, Marcia, Betina and all others. They took excellent care of me and made me feel that I was the most important person they were caring for at the time. Another plus was the food, which was fantastic. The food service staff was professional, knowledgeable and kind. Those of you that have negative views of John Randolph, should re-consider those views.

I recently had to visit the Emergency Department at John Randolph and found them to be incredibly busy as every room appeared to be full. They were comforting, efficient and most accommodating. I am thrilled with the care I received and with the entire experience. I had an answer quickly as to why I was so ill and was on my way in much less time than expected. Very happy with the staff!

I was greeted from the front entrance. By the personnel who takes your temperature, she was very kind. When I got to the front desk the person in charge of Hospitality gave me the instructions to get sign in and my wait wasn’t very long before I was called to have my procedures done . The two nurses in radiology I believe one was Judy and I can’t remember the other Nurse’s name they took very good care of me. Helping me to make sure that I was ok with the test that I had to have. And talking with me through the entire time. When my test was over. The nurse made sure that I got up from a laying position by holding my hand, and letting me get my self together because of the pain that I was in. She was kind in sharing with me how she understood my concerns. Just talking with them made the procedure go by very quickly. And with much ease. I was delighted to have them there to see that I was going to be able to make it through the test. Only one incident struck me as odd I got turned around and couldn’t find my way back to the lobby, so I asked a gentleman who was wearing hospital scrubs for help and he didn’t seem to interested in how to assist me. And just sort of went his own way.

Would not recommend. I was impatient at this hospital for two weeks. The doctors did not seem to care. I had an allergic reaction from the medication the doctor prescribed. The doctor did not come to check out the reaction. I have a history of severe reactions. When I saw the doctor next he did not even look at it the reaction. I had to bring it up to him. I saw several fights where patients had to break it up instead of staff because the staff was overrun. There was times I was afraid to sleep while I was there. After I did the impatient program I did their outpatient program. The program I felt was not being run like a therapy group should have. The staff said that I should find a different program when I would ask questions about what they where doing. When I would bring issues up with supervisors they would just shrug it off. I struggled sleeping because my rooms ac was set at 80 degrees and they staff refused to call maintenance to see what they could do. I had a patient that was making weapons behind me. I asked staff to handle the situation and the staff refused to. I have a seafood and shellfish allergy and the hospital would send me menus asking do I want it or not. I found it extremely insulting. I feel I have more issues from this hospital then when I went in. Multiple rooms had leaks in the windows. In one room during treatment I was rained on. When I had to go to treatment there where sections of the hospital where their was water like a river coming out of the walls. On multiple occasions I saw surgical staff walking through the parking lot in surgical gear. I saw mold and water damage in several sections of the hospital.
