This restaurant closed in 2017.

I attempted to talk with the owner or manager of the restaurant to report my horrible experience, rather than resorting to a bad review, but my email, and follow-up phone call were ignored. A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend's family decided to take us to La Caraquena because I had raved about it. When we got there however, we were waved to a seat and ignored for 25 minutes. Nobody came to talk to us or explain the delay. When we were finally helped, it took fifteen minutes to get coffee. The food arrived one dish at a time and mine arrived more than five minutes after all the other food had arrived. Not only was our meal not discounted for the terrible experience, but none of the employees seemed particularly apologetic for it, and clearly the management isn't either or they would have responded to my attempts to inform them of the experience. I was terribly embarrassed because I had raved about the restaurant to my guests. Now, since they can't be bothered to address the issue, I doubt I'll return.nOn a side note, the owner did reach out to me and we set up a time to talk. When I called during that time I was told he wasn't there and whoever answered the phone refused to take a message even though I said I had an appointment, then hung up on me. Unfortunately, the food may be good, but service has taken a nose dive here.

The food was top notch! I would recommend calling in a reservation just to be safe as there are only about 8-10 tables. Maximum party size of probably 6 unless you sit at different booths.

Yes! Latin cuisine in a crowded area of traditional burgers and such. Intimate. Great atmosphere. Fantastic food! This is now my go to place in Falls Church.

The food was fantastic. A nice array of authentic Venezuelan food. Great drinks and an upbeat environment. Great for a date night. Take a cab because you'll want another margarita.
