Maker Studio

My daughter was invited here for a birthday party, and it was awesome! The 6 and 7 year olds had lots of space to play in before they painted their cute unicorn and dragon canvases, and when the craft time started, the most amazing thing happened: We were suddenly at a silent 7-year-old's birthday party. It was a miracle. All of the kids were so focused on making their mythological creatures look cool that they actually sat still and focused. Every single parent commented on how great it was, and I will forever consider Maker Studio before ever planning a party at Slinky Action Zone or Chuck E Cheese ever again. Our host, Sarah, was amazing with the kids. Pizza and drinks were included with the party, and the birthday girl even got a cute photo of everyone with their canvases in a commemorative frame. They also have a lot of beautiful crafts and decor for sale here at very reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back!

I truly enjoyed decorating cookies with Katie Everhart. The maker studio is spacious with a relaxed atmosphere. Sarah Baumbach is welcoming, accommodating and personable.

Had a great experience at Maker Studio! I've been wanting to take a class there, since discovering it on Eventbright, several months ago. I'm impressed with the variety of classes offered throughout the year. Sarah (sp?), the owner, is an excellent, knowledgeable, and patient instructor. I can't stress enough how pleasant she made the experience. She has created a warm, welcoming space for learning and creativity. I look forward to taking more classes there. The large open space was easy to find and access (although GPS tried to lead me to the side of the building, on Front St., instead of Alleghany). It's at the end of downtown and there are a variety of restaurants to enjoy before or after class. Street parking is free, on weekends. The restroom was roomy and clean.

Sarah is a great teacher... Love her classes!!!!
