I brought my favorite pair of Frye boots to Greg and he worked WONDERS. They don't make the shoes anymore and I had already sent them to 2 different cobblers including shipping them to the recommended cobbler of Frye, both of which were incredibly disappointing and one of the cobblers almost ruined the boots. I went to Greg in a last effort to preserve my favorite shoes and I'm so glad I found him! Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. He was a little expensive but worth it. Probably added another 4 years of life onto my boots by replacing the soles and repairing the heels CORRECTLY.
Greg is awesome! I brought in my Frye boots that needed a deep cleaning, a new zipper, new bottoms soles, and some zipper stoppers. Sure, that is a lot to do for a pair of boots, but I love my Frye boots (had them for over 5 years and when you have comfortable and quality boots, you want to keep them! Greg restored them back to life and is giving me another 5+ years out of them. I just need to take better care of them myself. To bad Fyre's customer service did not match Greg's.
The owner was incredibly sweet and knowledgable. I came in near closing time and asked if he could add notches to be belt I bought on Amazon that I really liked, but was too big. I assumed it would be a quick in-and-out but he took the time to show me that there was a specially cut to the notches that made it more functional. I had used this belt for well over a year and never noticed. He took the time to make sure that the new special cut notches he made were to my liking. I not only left with a perfect fitting belt but with some knowledge that will help in future purchases. Overall 13/10 highly recommend.
Excellent service and value. Greg helped my son repair his Hender Scheme leather sneakers. I will come to Colonial for all shoe and leather help I need in the future.
Greg is fantastic! So kind and knowledgeable. I brought a leather coach backpack in with a torn strap. He was realistic with me about expectations, and gave me options. He took the time to explain how he would do the repair and even helped me figure out what length I wanted the new strap.
