4yrs ago I had pain in my right shoulder. It just became worse so I went to Tufts ER to find out I had bacteria all over my right lung due to my acid reflux which had become worse over the years. Ever since then I get personal care where the doctor himself contacts me directly. They show concern and exceptional care. I appreciate and I am greatful I chose Tufts that day. They saved my life.

Go anywhere else if you have a choice. This hospital is terribly managed. For every appointment I waited for average of one hour, whether it's pcp or specialist. They also messed up my billing once and charged me twice. I spent months to try to get my money back and eventually gave up. Boston has so many good hospitals and doctors. Go elsewhere.

Total hip replacement at Tufts verses NE Baptist was huge. I had a robotic hip replacement at Tufts with Dr. Joseph Kavolus, anterior approach, much less invasive, spinal anesthesia, discharged day of surgery, also walked and did stairs. Pain was mild to moderate managed with Tylenol, naproxen and gabapentin, NO NARCOTICS. I am now 2 weeks post op and I am ambulating with a cane only.nThe nursing staff at Tufts was exceptional; Jane in pre-op and PACU,nRachel in intra-op, Lisa private nurse and Allison from Physical therapy . It felt like a personalized spa treatment instead of a hospital visit.nTotal hip replacement at NE Baptist, posterior approach, general anesthesia, moderate to severe pain, stayed to 2 nights in the hospital. I had constipation from the narcotics along with nausea and vomiting. The scopolamine patch did not help at all. My recover was prolonged and I needed extensive physical therapy.nIf you need a total hip replacement, robotic arthroplasty with Dr. Joseph Kavolus at Tufts Medical Center is the way to go, far superior.

The Drs and nurses are great here!! Very caring. Only negative thing was, I had surgery here, my husband was the responsible party to drive me home after having surgery. I was in the hospital for I think 10-11 hours. He had to wait out side in his truck the whole time. It was 20 degrees out, he had to keep paying meter for parking, running the truck for heat, no bathroom. They should consider a (clean space) or some area for responsible parties in such situations as this or for the responsible parties of those who are admitted as well. I felt so bad he was out there the whole time with others doing the same.
