Good food. The hostess & waitress were efficient & nice.nI think I would've been happier on their patio because it was a nice sunny day, but everything was nice.nNo wow factor, though, so only 4 stars.
Amazing oysters & clam chowder. Bad poke bowl.
We made a huge pickup order of 12 dinners and several appetizers. The order was placed over the phone and the bartender taking the order was knowledgeable and precise. Saturday evening so we expected a wait of at least an hour. She told us everything would be ready in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later we were there for the order and the itemized check was waiting along with our order all bagged up and ready to go. 10 minutes after that everything was unpacked at our rental house and every order was exactly correct. Everything was hot and delicious. 5 stars for the Black Cat Tavern!
Fantastic meal, the chowder was incredible and so tasty. Fried clams were done perfectly as were the baked scallops. The carrot cake was the best we'd ever had. Great service, friendly atmosphere and very clean. Thank you for a delicious and delightful dining experience.
Great food and experience of outdoor evening dining.. peaceful.. something different than waterfront experience. Food and drinks were excellent.. We ordered virgin pina colada and mojito and they reminded us of our trip to Miami. We had seafood platter and sautéed shrimp which was fresh seafood and delicious. In desert we ordered cheesecake which was great too.
