We booked a trip to Half Axe online and could not have had a better experience. Jack, our coach, was incredible in teaching us both two handed and one handed throws. And could pinpoint what we needed to change to hit the board and get the axes to stick. It was incredible and we had a blast. We will definitely be back.
I had a very good time with my husband. The coach instructed us on how to throw the axe, made sure we used all our safety precautions and kept score as we played some games. 1/2 hr was way too short for a good play. Next time ill go for an hour
Super fun. There are zombie targets available. Staff was nice and our coach Jack was patient and helpful. We were given ample time and space and didn't have to worry about others getting too close during this pandemic. All areas including the bathrooms were clean ud83dudc4dud83cudffb
If you are new to axe throwing this is the place to be. Courteous staff, quick concise training and a great friendly attitude. You will have a lot of fun.nnIf you are an experienced axe thrower and just trying to visit all the venues in your area, skip this one. They do not allow non league members to throw personal axes even if the axes meet all of the IATF specifications. I understand insurance constraints, but it's still a huge let down to drive over an hour and not be able to throw the axe you are familiar with.nnThis is also the only venue I know of to have 30 minute time slots everywhere else is an hour.
I had so much fun! We had a Great instructor and will definitely return with more friends. The experience is worth it.
