Posted the below 4 months ago. Here I am, again, taken to collections for a fourth time. I have now been taken to collections and have called CBE 4 times and paid them for sums ranging from $80 to $110 for having a mole removed here. My credit score has plummeted about 100 points as a product. All I want is to pay my bill and not have to deal with these people but letters keep showing up. If I could give -1000 stars I would. I have probably lost more years of my life from stress than a mole ever would have cost me. Probably the first negative review I've written in ten years, but here goes. I came here twice to see a dermatologist and paid $110 each time, which was great. After changing insurance, I came a third time and let Intermountain know I had changed insurance but didnt have my new insurance info yet. They told me I could call them and give them the info later, so they treated me and removed a mole. I received a bill for $500 (I had no idea it would cost so much and this was never explained to me) and called and gave them my updated insurance. They never followed back up, so I assumed it was resolved. A few months later, I was taken to collections and called to see why this had happened. They had both my previous insurance provider and current one on file, but continued to attempt to charge my inactive insurance instead of the current insurance. They told me they would withdraw the collection and use my insurance. Today I got two letters in the mail. One from Intermountain and one from the collections agency. They still had not used the correct insurance and had taken me to collections AGAIN for a portion of the bill. Incredibly frustrated as my otherwise perfect credit score has taken a ding and will never use Intermountain again.
