Asante Three Rivers Medical Center

About 8 months ago I had been in the hospital for emergency care, and yesterday as an outpatient. On both occasions my treatment has been outstanding. When leaving the hospital there is no better feeling than that those who treated me really cared about my welfare. They are the best!

The lady that does the blood pressure is a horrible person and should not be working in a hospital. I came in with a swollen liver and kidney pain. I couldn't catch my breath because of the pain. She ssshd me, and told me to take a seat. It's 3:20, let's see how long it takes to get me in a room. People obviously don't care about their patients. It's a paycheck for them. That's all. You do not get treated well here at all, but I was desperate.

I never understood why my daughter insisted on giving birth all the way from Brookings to Asante Three Rivers Medical Center! BUT, after experiencing this magnificent Medical Facility I now know why.nnDaughter's Dr was top notch. Nurses were constantly looking for ways to make her more comfortable. Staff and Nurses were exceptional. Everyone in maternity truly cares about their patients' well-being .nnI now have a healthy Grandson. Thank you!

I came in on a Saturday morning at 10am with pancreatitis, I was called to the back in 5 minutes. Saw the doctor within 10. Immediately got labs and pain medication. Believe it or not, I had to be admitted and got a bed in 2 HOURS! SUPER FAST! Reading other reviews I can tell that each experience will be different from the next, but ALL of mine have been positive. Plus covid has made it so fewer people come into the ER out of fear. I had to stay in the ICU for 4 days with pancreatitis and the staff treated me like family. I will say that they are tough on drug seekers, but if you have actual pain they are not stingy at all. I've been all over the country and have to say this is in my top 3 hospital experiences.

Got the runaround on referrals referred me to the wrong Dr. waited for me to call to fix it, still had to call again to finally get my appointment. I was told I would be called and was not, my condition is worse now as a result of this disorganization. Also ... they did not sanitize anything while I waited an hour, no wiping down chairs or anything. For such a high risk area this should be done more frequently. And why not shields too, just doesn't seem as safe as it should be.
